Ready to spread some kindness?

Your music can do more than fill a room. It can lift someone’s spirits, create a moment of joy, and bring comfort to people who may need it most.

Whether you play piano, violin, another instrument, or simply want to help support our performances, there’s a place for you at Keys for Kindness. We welcome musicians of all ages to join us in bringing live music, joy, and connection to retirement communities and children’s hospitals.

We are based in San Diego, California, and we’re always looking to expand to other cities. If you’re interested in starting local chapter in your own community, we’d love to hear from you.

Make Someone’s Day Brighter

For many of the people we perform for, live music is a welcome change from their daily routine. A familiar melody can bring back memories, encourage smiles, and create a sense of comfort and joy.

As a volunteer, you get to see that impact up close, not in statistics, but in real faces and real reactions.

play for a Greater Purpose

Instead of performing only for competitions, recitals, or personal achievement, you can use music as a way to give back.

Every piece you play becomes an act of kindness and every performance becomes an opportunity to share something you love with someone who can genuinely appreciate it.

Grow as a Musician and as a Person

Performing in different environments helps you become more confident, adaptable, and comfortable connecting with an audience. You’ll meet other young musicians who care about giving back, develop leadership skills, and gain experiences that go far beyond the stage.

Most importantly, you’ll discover how powerful it can be to use your talents to serve others.
